- 12/15/2023: I will talk about our latest work on differentiable modeling at AGU. The abstract is avaialbe from here.
- 12/11/2023: I will attend AGU Fall meeting in San Francisco. Contact me if you want to talk about research!
- 08/12/2023: My doctoral dissertation is finally electonically available on ProQuest.
- 07/11/2023: A perspective paper on differentiable modeling in Geosciences is publisehd on Nature Reviews Earth & Environment. I mainly contributed to adjoint methods in the paper.
- 05/22/2023: I am attending HydroML symposium at Berkeley!
- 03/03/2023: My Master’s study on laboratory experiment of thermal non-equilibrium in porous media was accepted by Journal of Groundwater Hydrology.
- 02/01/2023: I started a postdoc position at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory!
- 01/23/2023: I gave a resaerch and outreach talk at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. Thank Dr. Hirotaka Saito for hosting the seminar!
- 12/05/2022: I defended my dissertation on World Soil Day!

- Unsaturated water flow in arid regions
- Hysteresis phenomena
- Extracting soil hydraulic properties by inverse modeling
- Large-scale simulation of water and chemical transport in watersheds
- Neural networks (not just for easy use; there must be some interesting properties we can exploit!)
